My Life + Mission
Art has always been a powerful influence in my life. It can be beautiful, thought provoking, inspiring…but to me it’s so much more than that. Art is an expression of values; a set of core beliefs and attitudes expressed in physical form.
My mission is to bring this philosophical artistic expression into the practice of dentistry; to weave together art and dentistry, esthetics and oral health in a tangible way.
Whether giving someone the ability to chew again so they can enjoy a great meal, or re-instill personal confidence with a beautiful smile, I approach every case as a work of art and see every patient as a unique masterpiece.
As a Periodontic specialist, I have a unique opportunity to give my patients a level of craftsmanship beyond the scope of traditional dentistry. My training and education allows me to take beauty and esthetics to new heights using a minimally-invasive approach with better and more predictable outcomes.
EDUCATION + TRAINING
I was born and raised in Moscow with my brother Shamuel. Coming from a lineage of family physicians, we kept with family tradition and pursued careers in health and medicine. Shamuel is currently in a family medicine residency in New York City. I chose to pursue my passion for dentistry and completed my dental education at Moscow State Medical University in 2005.
After graduating, I moved to New York City and took a position as a dental assistant and digital lab technician, integrating my love for art and technology into my new talent for dental esthetics.
My education continued at the Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2013 where I earned my DDS degree. I also earned the International College of Dentists Award and was honored to be selected by my peers to serve 2 years as class President.
After completing my dental degree, I was accepted into an additional 2-year periodontics specialty program, joining an elite group of dentists with the ability to provide the most cutting-edge and comprehensive surgical procedures available dentistry today.
FAMILY & COMMUNITY
I met my wife Jayla at dental school in 1998 and we’ve been together ever since.
We married shortly after and have three beautiful children together.
When not doing dentistry, you’ll find the five of us (and the family dog Westie) enjoying the trails and all the best outdoor activities the State of Colorado has to offer.
I also feel the importance of giving something back and spend time every year donating time to provide dentistry for underprivileged people and humanitarian efforts, most recently the Syrian refugee camp in 2019.
