At PeioArts of Colorado we offer IV sedation as a choice for our patients with extreme anxiety and an extra service to maximize your comfort during procedures.
IV(intravenous) sedation is a conscious sedation treatment. Unlike Narcosis or Deep sedation, provided at the hospital settings, conscious sedation will get you to the state of maximum relaxation , but still be aware of where you are and be able to follow instructions. This type of sedation is safe, but still require special training and monitoring to ensure that there are no complications.
If you are interested in this type of service, please let us know during your consultation visit, or several days before procedure, as it will require you to bring someone you trust with you to drive you back home from the office and who will stay with you for several hours after you arrive home. Your comfort and safety is especially important for us.
