PREPARING FOR SURGERY
Our goal is to make your experience as comfortable as possible! Follow these pre-operative instructions to ensure a smooth procedure.
Night Before Your Surgery
If procedure is done under local anesthesia, please have a light snack and be well hydrated. You will be numb for awhile.
If you are having an IV sedation (being put to sleep), DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING AFTER MIDNIGHT THE NIGHT BEFORE SURGERY.
If you take any prescribed medications on a regular basis, please discuss this with the dentist or dental assistant before the day of your surgery. We will advise you which medications you can take the morning of surgery. If you have been prescribed medications by Dr. Yagudayev prior to surgery please ensure that you have taken these medications as instructed prior to your arrival.
Minimize the use of alcoholic beverages.
Get a good night’s rest!
What to Wear
Comfortable clothing like a blouse or shirt with loose sleeves that can be rolled up beyond your elbow to take your blood pressure or set up IV.
Socks to keep your feet warm.
We provide blankets to make you as comfortable as possible, but you may want to bring a sweater with buttons in case you get cold.
What to Bring
Medications – Bring ALL medications prescribed by Dr. Yagudayev for your surgery PLUS any medications you take on a routine or daily basis for any reason (pain, birth control, high blood pressure, etc.)
The names and phone numbers of your personal physicians.
Feel free to bring your favorite music, pillow or toys – anything that will make you feel more relaxed during your procedure.
Please do not bring any valuables (jewelry, extra cash, etc.)
